First and foremost, we’re a community of unique bears, and I’m Will, The Head Bear!
Based in San Diego, California, Trippies is a complete shift for me. I’ve been in sales since I was eight, starting with dog-watching for my neighbors. At eighteen, I launched a computer company, which crashed in 2008. By 2009, I transitioned to commercial real estate, where I became the top-producing first-year broker, completing over $100 million in transactions. However, a chronic shoulder injury forced me to resign after multiple surgeries and ongoing pain.
In September 2021, I discovered alternative medicine, which significantly relieved my pain (shout-out to CJ, my physical therapist!). Now, I’m mostly pain-free and ready for new adventures.
The idea for Trippies was born on a hiking trip in Southern Utah, where friends from all different backgrounds came together to explore and search for bears. It made me wonder: if people with such different personalities and stories can bond so easily, how can I expand that feeling into a community?
Enter Trippies: a weird, wild bear-inspired movement celebrating coexistence, individuality, exploration, and embracing your “weird” in the best way possible. If you’ve ever felt different or been called “weird,” we welcome you to join our bear family.
Let go of insecurities, go beyond life’s challenges, take risks, have fun, and most of all—be weird.
